The Lalmoni Express is a train that travels between Dhaka and Lalmoni District. It started in 2004 and has become a well-liked train. This train links important cities like Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha, Bogra, and Natore to Dhaka. It’s among Bangladesh’s long-distance trains, along with Drutojan Express, Panchagarh Express, and Ekota Express.

About Lalmoni Express

The Lalmoni Express had its very first trip on March 7, 2004, with the train numbers 751up/752down. When it started, it was the only train connecting Lalmonirhat and Dhaka. Unlike other intercity trains in Bangladesh, it stops at many places. But lots of people want to use it, especially in the Lalmonirhat Division. 

Right now, it runs with 14 coaches using vacuum brakes. Even though many people want to ride it, no new coaches have been added since it started. But the Bangladesh Railway is thinking about upgrading the coaches soon by using air brakes. Usually, a Class 2900 locomotive pulls the Lalmoni Express, but it can also be pulled by a vacuum brake locomotive.

Lalmoni Express train code is (751/752) Lalmoni Express. When it start the journey from Dhaka it is Lalmoni Express (751) and when it return from Lalmonirhat it is Lalmoni Express (752)

Lalmoni Express runs 6 days a week. Friday is the off day of Lalmoni Express for both starting stations.

Lalmoni Express Train Ticket Price

Lalmoni Express Seat Plan

The Lalmoni Express train has 14 coaches. 2 Ac chair (SNIGDHA), 8 Non ac chair coaches (S_CHAIR), 2 Food canteen coaches with guard breaks, 1 Ac cabin coach, 1 power car.

Each Non ac chair coach has 60 seats, Ac chair coach has 55 seats. There will be 15 seats for the passengers on each food canteen coach. The power car will have a small cabin for Salah. Muslim people can pray Salah during the journey time.
